Også naturens egne fantastiske frembringelser er repræsenteret i perlerne og den sneglelignende skal fra en nautilus blæksprutte. Georg Hainz specialiserede sig i at male disse øjenbedrag, såkaldte trompe l'oeil-kunstkammerskabe. Trompe l'oeil-effekten i Georg Hainz' værk består ikke kun i en perfekt naturgengivelse, men også i den finesse at skabets sider falder sammen med billedrammen så man et øjeblik forledes til at tro, at man har et virkeligt skab foran sig. Maleriet har en skjult hilsen til kongen.
